The Heartland Education Foundation is proud to support results-driven programming for the members of our community and for our students in partnership with Crandall ISD

Air Reading

Air Reading is a structured online reading program hosted by certified teachers with over 10-years experience. Explicit real-time instruction is systematic, sequential, and focused on phonemic awareness, synthetic phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

VR Sports

Virtual Reality or VR for short, is a 360-degree immersive experience, allowing students to interact with the world around them without leaving the classroom creating a learning experience that enhances retention engagement, collaboration, and creativity.

The Perot Museum

Bringing science directly to the school with all the supplies and know-how needed to engage students in exciting and educational programming such as Engineering Ninja Warriors, Electrical Exploration, Bio Labs and more. The Museum also features annual field trips for Heartland students.

Communities in Schools

Providing counseling support at each Heartland school to reengage students and families. Program involves a set of initiatives to increase students and families’ interest, passions, and relationships in the service of promoting equitable learning conditions both inside and outside the classroom.

Texas Freshwater Fisheries

Featuring an annual field trip to the Fisheries where students are introduced to fish production, angling skills, habitat conversation, and how all these contribute to the state’s waterways and recreation. Groups participate in fishing at casting ponds, attending a native fish feeding program, viewing an outdoor hatchery and walking the wetland trail.

Junior Achievement

Providing interactive financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship center located at the Raynes/Administration building in CISD. Participating students will have the ability to learn the importance of personal budgeting, career readiness, entrepreneurship, and real-life adult responsibilities via simulated business and financial situations. These TEKS-aligned programs empower K-12 students to visualize their potential and own their future success.

Band Equipment

Aspiring to provide equity in band, promote the art and teamwork by purchasing the band equipment for the new middle school within the Heartland community.

IXL Highschool Math

Comprehensive, interactive resources for high school Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 students and beyond. AP/SAT/ACT Prep… IXL’s real-time diagnostic pinpoints students’ grade level proficiency, providing an accurate, up-to-the-minute portrait of a students’ progress on key math and ELA strands. These personalized action plans seamlessly link students to the skills that will help them build on their knowledge and remediate gaps in understanding.

Mobile Ed

Mobile Ed Productions brings the field trip directly to the school feature specialize assemblies for elementary, middle and high school students. Subjects range from science, government, history, reading, writing, performing arts, and much more.

BMX

The BMX Team is legendary for its success on two wheels, entertaining student assemblies of all sizes and all ages throughout the USA. It is equally renowned for convincing young people to make the right choices when it comes to standing up against bullies and all forms of bullying, both subtle and overt. Kids feel empowered in the presence of these spectacular athletes.

Summer STEM Camps

Design Connect Create summer STEM camps provide middle and high school age students with hands-on experiences and career exposure that build academic, career and life skills. The camps empower students to design solutions, connect ideas to real-world applications that are experiential and project-based..
